Improved method of existing S.D method
1. Method overview
1) PACK DRAIN method is a method of simultaneously inserting 4 CASINGs with a diameter of 120 m/m attached to a dedicated pouring machine into the ground, then inserting a geotextile net inside, filling it with sand, and then pulling out the CASING to form a sand column filled in the net.
2) This method complements the shortcomings of PAPER DRAIN and SAND DRAIN, and the installation depth is up to 35 m, and the installation diameter is 120 mm, so it is easy to construct.
2. Method characteristics
1) Forming a continuous sand column with a uniform cross-section. (Figure 1)
2) The drainage column does not break and can cope with ground deformation to some extent.
3) Easy to manage construction. (Figure 2)
4) Since 4 DRAINs are poured simultaneously, the construction period is shortened. 5) Small diameter DRAIN construction reduces sand usage and is economical.
6) Small cross section, so there is little disturbance of surrounding ground due to pouring.
7) It is not easily cut because it has a large shear resistance to lateral flow.
3. Construction method and order
1) CASING penetration.
2) Tower insertion.
3) Sand filling.
4) CASING extraction.
5) PACK DRAIN formation.
6) Move to the next construction location.
